UV Pøp

UV Pøp (or “Ultra Violent Pop”) was a post-punk group in the South Yorkshire area of Britain formed in the first 1980s by John K. Light. White have been offering the musical support for the floundering vocal group known as the I Scream Guys, and released UV Pøp being a one-man music group when the various other project didn’t collect any momentum. The initial recorded result was an individual made by the associates of Cabaret Voltaire, which led UV Pøp to publicity and even more gigs. The music group, consisting of Light performing over pre-recorded backup tapes, opened up displays to get Nico, In the Nursery, as well as the then-unknowns Pulp and Tradition Club.
