A Bay Region prog rock-band with slight punk leanings, Triclops! started as a cooperation between Christian Beaulieu and Johnny Geek. In 2005, Beaulieu captured a present Geek was using Oakland’s Fleshies, became enamored using the singer’s vocal technique, and arranged some shows to allow them to play along with his group Containers and Skulls. More than drinks, both conspired to start out a new task collectively playing music that their additional rings wouldn’t like and began jamming collectively for over annually. As a demonstration took type, they made a decision to recruit a tempo section, haphazardly requesting bassist Larry Boothroyd, a veteran within the San Fran underground picture, after selecting drummer Phil Becker from a Craigslist publishing. In August of 2006, the recently formed band moved into the studio room with engineer Phil Manley (Trans Am, Golden, Fucking Champs) and monitored and combined the Cafeteria Brutalia EP in only two times; the EP premiered on Chicago indie SickRoom. After that, after sharing expenses with Acid Moms Temple and Don Caballero, Triclops! obtained tour slot machines with 400 Blows and David Yow’s Qui. Their follow-up, From Africa, was documented with Melvins engineer Kurt Schlegel at Lucky Kitty and primed for launch on March 25, 2008, on Substitute Tentacles. This year 2010, Triclops! released Helper on the other hand.
