Tiny Vipers

The subtle, mainly acoustic music of Tiny Vipers may be the project of Seattle-based singer/songwriter Jesy Fortino, a self-taught guitarist whose intricate playing and lonesome vocals give her work a uniquely haunting quality. Though she performed in a few rings, Fortino discovered she worked well better on her behalf own, and started liberating Tiny Vipers albums — including one which consisted of an individual 30-minute track — and playing regional shows. A pal operating at Sub Pop brought her towards the label’s interest, and Fortino authorized with them in 2006. Her debut EP for Sub Pop, Hands Over the Void, found its way to summer 2007.
