The Sanctuaries

The Sanctuaries were formed this year 2010 when friends singer/guitarist David Stern and drummer Brian Indig solidified a couple of upbeat pop tunes after playing collectively in a variety of combinations for quite some time at Skidmore University. Centered out of Manhattan but with origins in NY condition, the group enlisted Rochester-area musician Alex Northrup on body organ plus a revolving solid of bass players. A self-released 7″ designated the band’s debut soon thereafter. In 2011 the music group journeyed to Nashville to record its 1st full-length record with Yo La Tengo maker Roger Moutenot.
