The HollowPoints

Biography

Seattle trio the HollowPoints played punk that leaned towards the hardcore part from the style’s audio upon their formation in 2002. Vocalist/guitarist Matty McKinney, bassist Ben Early, and drummer Ben Colley released the first 2004 Annihilation EP through Dirtnap before starting up with Duane Peters (of U.S. Bombs and Die Hunns popularity) and his Catastrophe imprint for his or her 2005 recording The Black Place. The album’s somber lyrics indicated dissatisfaction using the sociopolitical weather of america and portrayed the stressed lives of teenagers with little expect the future. As time passes, the HollowPoints distributed stages with functions just like the Briefs, Angel Town Outcasts, G.B.H., and Toxic Narcotic, and after adding second guitarist Can McCarthy in January 2006 (previously of Northwest metallic punks Axes of Bad), they later on became a member of the U.S. Bombs for any complete countrywide tour.
