The Hidden Hand

Following dissolution of Spirit Caravan in mid-2002, stoner rock and roll godfather Scott “Wino” Weinrich announced that he’d be joining Host to Skulls — the group fronted by guitarist Victor Griffin of Pentagram fame. At exactly the same time, though, he also shaped a new music group known as the Hidden Hands with Maryland natives Bruce Falkinberg (bass/vocals) and Dave Hennessy (drums). The trio’s debut record, 2003’s Divine Propaganda, maintained a lot of the sonic hallmarks quality of Wino’s lengthy profession — traditional rock and doom infused with punk rock’s bare-bones, D.We.Y. looks — but additionally placed an extra emphasis on handling social and politics issues.
