The Green

Among the initial bands to consider the audio of Hawaiian reggae towards the globe, Honolulu’s the Green certainly are a six-piece clothing whose self-titled debut recording was voted Best Reggae Recording of 2010 by digital users. After cousins Caleb Keolanui and JP Kennedy place their previous music group, Next Era, to rest, they recruited Ikaika Antone and Zion Thompson to create the Green. Their self-titled debut made an appearance this year 2010, and continued to win Greatest Reggae Recording at Hawaii’s 2011 Na Hoku Hanohano Honours. A year afterwards, both EP Like & Affection as well as the record Methods & Means seems on the simple Superstar label. Hawai’i ’13 implemented in 2013, with creation coming from regular Jack port Johnson collaborator Danny Kalb.
