The Chariot

Atlanta-based post-hardcore/alternate metallic act the Chariot is usually a showcase for singer Josh Scogin. Previously frontman for the favorite Christian nu-metallers Norma Jean (originally referred to as Luti-Kriss, before Dirty South rapper Ludacris eclipsed their limited recognition), Scogin remaining Norma Jean for undisclosed personal factors in 2003, following a launch of their second recording. Largely dispensing using the rap-rock and nu-metal areas of Norma Jean and only a punkier metalcore path, Scogin nearly immediately created the Chariot with users of other region metallic and CCM groupings. The initial lineup from the Chariot contains Scogin, vocalist and guitarist Keller Harbin, guitarist Tony Medina, bassist Joshua Beiser, and drummer Jeff Carter. Putting your signature on to the favorite Christian indie rock and roll label Solid Condition Information in 2004, the music group debuted afterwards that year using the nearly operatically entitled Everything Can be Alive, Everything Can be Breathing, THERE IS NOTHING Dead and THERE IS NOTHING Bleeding. Following subsequent release of the live DVD, Girls and Gentlemen, the Chariot, Medina and Carter still left the music group; new drummer Tag Nicks debuted for the 2005 EP Unsung, but was changed by Jake Ryan before periods started for the band’s second full-length, The Fiancee. Following the record was documented, Beiser and Harbin still left the Chariot (Harbin signing up for EACH TIME I Die) and had been changed by Jon Terry and Dan Eaton with time for a thorough North American package deal tour with various other bands through the Solid State Information roster. Delayed with the fast changeover in music group employees, The Fiancee ultimately surfaced in early Apr 2007 with brand-new bassist Jon “KC Wolf” Kindler up to speed. Terry and Eaton’s amount of time in the music group will be short-lived, using the set being changed by Bryan Russell Taylor and Stephen Harrison prior to the release from the band’s 2010 recording, Long Live. Taylor will be another casualty from the Chariot’s revolving-door lineup, with substitute Brandon Henderson arriving up to speed in 2011. Further lineup adjustments found Kindler departing the music group to attend university with Henderson and Harrison overtaking bass responsibilities in the studio room. The Chariot’s 5th record, One Wing, offering production through the band’s longtime engineer/manufacturer Matt Gordon, found its way to 2012.
