Created at El Cerrito SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL in Berkeley, California, USA, the Blue Velvets had been made up of John Fogerty (b. 28 Might 1945, Berkeley, California, USA; acoustic guitar, vocals), Stu Make (b. 25 Apr 1945, Oakland, California, USA; bass) and Doug Clifford (b. 24 Apr 1945, Palo Alto, California, USA; drums). Their live looks were mainly constrained to teenage hops before trio was buoyed from the introduction of John’s elder sibling, Tom Fogerty (b. 9 November 1941, Berkeley, California, USA; acoustic guitar, vocals). As Tom Fogerty AS WELL AS THE Blue Velvets the group started appearing at regional night clubs, playing R&B and rock and roll ‘n’ move favourites. In 1963 they documented an individual, ‘Bonita’, that was released on the neighborhood Orchestra label. The next 12 months the quartet guaranteed a agreement with Fantasy Information who, mindful from the ‘English Invasion’, rechristened them the Golliwogs. In 1967 the music group ditched this name towards Creedence Clearwater Revival.
