Home / Biography / Sonos

A cappella group Sonos mixes traditional choral singing using a distinctly alternative, indie approach, and the effect is a brand new, bright cross types that re-imagines the genre for the 21st hundred years. Emerging in the southern California university a cappella globe, the group — as very much a collective as other things — includes performers Chris Harrison, Jessica Freedman, Katharine Anne Hoye, Rachel Bearer, Ben McLain, and Paul Peglar, produced a name for itself in L.A. with clever, inventive, and vibrant vocal-only interpretations of music by so on of Rufus Wainwright, Fleet Foxes, Imogen Heap, Lewis Taylor, Magnet, Björk, yet others, and a amazing, vocal trip-hop edition from the Jackson 5’s “I’D LIKE You Back again,” that was released by Verve Information as the group’s initial single in ’09 2009. A full-length record, SonoSings, followed afterwards in the entire year.
