Focusing on infectious, Brill Building-length indie pop tunes that mix the orchestral, aloof folk-pop proclivities of rings like the Concealed Cameras and Belle and Sebastian using the droll, electro-pop shimmer of the Stephin Merritt (Magnetic Areas, Gothic Archies, Future Bible Heroes, the 6ths) production, NY City-based collective the Ballet released their debut album, Mattachine, in 2006. Carry Life found its way to 2009, adopted in 2013 by their debut for Uk indie Fortuna Pop, I Blame Culture.
