Szymon Goldberg

Szymon Goldberg was among the significant violinists from the twentieth hundred years. His family relocated to Warsaw when he was a kid, where he started violin research at age seven. He visited Berlin in 1917, learning with the fantastic pedagogue Carl Flesch. He debuted at a recital in Warsaw in 1921, and with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in 1924 inside a unforgettable concert where he performed three concertos. He was concertmaster from the Dresden Condition Orchestra (1925-1929) as well as the Berlin Philharmonic (1929-1934). With composer/violist Paul Hindemith and cellist Emmanuel Feuerman he created a significant string trio. He was pressured to keep the Berlin Philharmonic in 1934 due to the onset of Nazi guideline in Germany. He started touring European countries and china and taiwan like a soloist, and with pianist Lili Kraus created among the great recital partnerships. He and Kraus documented a historic group of Mozart sonata recordings within the Parlophone label. He debuted in NY in 1938. He was on the tour from the Dutch East Indies when it had been occupied by japan in 1942, and was interned there throughout the battle. He resumed his worldwide profession in 1946. He toured broadly and founded a teaching and performing profession. In 1951 he became a member of the faculty from the Aspen Music Event and in 1955 founded holland Chamber Orchestra, among the pioneers from the chamber orchestra music. He required American citizenship in 1953. He resigned from your Aspen Festival in 1965. He carried out many of the world’s leading orchestras and produced respectable recordings of contemporary violin repertory and revisited the Mozart sonatas, this time around with Radu Lupu as his partner. He relocated to London in 1969. He resigned from holland Chamber Orchestra in 1977 and another year joined both faculty of Yale University or college in New Haven, CT, and New York’s Juilliard College. He also trained on the Manhattan College of Music as well as the Curtis Institute.
