Syd Chaplin

b. Sidney John Hill, 16 March 1885, Capetown, South Africa, d. 15 Apr 1965, Great, France. Half-brother of Charlie Chaplin, Syd was a vocalist, dancer and comedian and became a favorite section of Fred Karno’s troupe in London, Britain. He helped Charlie enroll in Karno’s troupe and afterwards joined up with his half-brother at Mack Sennett’s Keystone business. Afterwards, he became Charlie’s business supervisor. Through the 20s, having been instrumental in establishing the bottom for Charlie’s lot of money, he performed some film jobs including starring in Charley’s Aunt (1925). Towards the finish from the 10 years he came back to Britain and his following life and profession lay beyond your scope of the work.
