Siblings Beth and Jay Sorrentino began building music from about age five. Within their Lancaster, Pa house, Jay would play drums while Beth sat in the piano. Bassist Ken Heitmuller also started playing in early stages. In 1989, the trio created all of a sudden, tammy! and documented two EPs within their cellar studio. Using the lack of a guitarist, the band supplied a fresh audio in indie pop. Both Spokesmodel and Un Presidente had been well-received, specifically in the faculty Music Journal. Indie label spinArt’s initial discharge was the group’s very own full-length debut. The self-titled record do well and gained suddenly, tammy! an area supporting Suede. Agreed upon to Warner Bros. in 1994, the music group recorded through the entire summer with manufacturer Wayne Livesey and released (We MAKE IT HAPPEN When We Perform) in 1995.
