Subtle

Shaped in 2001 when Amoeba Music record shop employees and musicians Jel (Jeffrey Logan) and Doseone (Adam Drucker) — who already composed the Anticon strap Themselves — began using Dax Pierson, clicking very quickly. Soon they asked woodwind participant Marty Dowers, guitarist Jordan Dalrymple, and cellist Alexander Kort — most of whom Pierson got previously used — to become listed on the group, and Refined (with Jel on percussion, Pierson on secrets and autoharp, among additional tools, and Doseone on vocals) had been born. Following a handful of 12″ produces plus some EPs, A FRESH White premiered on Lex Information in 2004. Tragedy struck the music group in February another calendar year when their tour truck slipped on dark glaciers, paralyzing Pierson in the chest straight down. Still, Subtle pressed forwards, issuing the remix and cooperation EP Wishingbone in 2006 and putting your signature on to EMI, which released the group’s sophomore full-length, For Hero: For Fool — including vocal and harmonica function from Pierson — together with Lex afterwards that same calendar year, with a partner piece, Yell & Glaciers, out in past due 2007. Generally prolific, Exiting Arm strike shelves within the springtime of 2008.
