Sub Dub

Though no digital act bested the Orb at developing a gratifying fusion of ambient music and dub, Sub Dub came the nearest with its mixture of studio creation and live instrumentation. The quartet, which include bassist John Ward, programmer Raz Mesinai, vocalist Ursula Ward, and Give Stewart on tenor sax, debuted in 1994 using the Babylon Unite EP on TKI. After yet another EP, Dawa Zangpo, Sub Dub released their debut recording in 1996 on Instinct. Dancehall Breakdown adopted in 1997.
