Shut-IN

Originating from the ashes of Toronto post-punk group Pecola, Shut-IN shaped in 2001. The theory behind the group was “to create and perform tracks loosely termed punk.” Vocalist Craig Thompson and guitarist Joey Meyer began the group, and added people of Picastro and Light Star Range to its lineup. Drummer Josh McCoppen was changed by John Kremer during Shut-IN’s inital documenting sessions. In Feb 2002, the music group documented its debut, COULD NOT Wish Happen, on Kosher Rock and roll Information. The group performed across the Toronto region aswell as at different musical showcases. The group continues to be set alongside the Jesus Lizard and Slint with regards to design and live strength.
