Striborg

Although he takes his alias from your Sumerian god from the crescent moon, Sin Nanna is a human citizen of Hobart, Tasmania, and practitioner from the black metallic arts at their most visceral, brutal, and misanthropic, beneath the one-man-band moniker of Striborg — itself produced from the god of winds and storms in Slavic mythology. Originally conceived of in 1997, Striborg focused on recording spread demos and sometimes compiling them into similarly limited Compact disc pressings for another half-decade — and then unveil two appropriate albums, Religious Catharsis and Strange Semblance, in 2004, and another entitled Trepidation in 2005. In comparison with the next year’s Southern Lord discharge of his latest and first demos, Embittered Darkness/Isle de Morts, these albums showcased Sin Nanna’s long lasting commitment to fresh and hateful dark steel throughout his mainly underground career.
