Jacques Tremblay

Jacques Tremblay is a author of instrumental and electro-acoustic music from Quebec, Canada. His tape music functions are often motivated by or stick to principles from psychoanalysis and due to that, he could be in comparison to Francis Dhomont. Tremblay initial studied your guitar even though still in his teenagers decided he wished to turn into a composer. He once composed that what brought him to electro-acoustics was the audition of Karlheinz Stockhausen’s “Hymnen,” which experienced the effect of a surprising rvelation on him. He 1st studied electro-acoustic structure under Yves Daoust in the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal. He later on visited Lyon, France, to review with Denis Dufour and Jean-Marc Duchenne, and lastly returned to Montreal to total his 1st dreams in instrumental structure, this time around with Gilles Tremblay. In the first ’90s, Jacques Tremblay produced his 1st major functions and his “Oaristys” and “Hérésie ou les Bas-Reliefs du Dogme” received the second reward Hugh Le Caine in electro-acoustic music in the SOCAN Adolescent Composers Competition in 1991 and 1992, respectively. These and four additional tape music functions from the first to middle-’90s were released in 1998 beneath the name Alibi from the renowned record label empreintes DIGITALes, while his orchestral and combined media music possess yet to become documented.
