Stargazers

The Stargazers were a favorite, novelty vocal group formed in 1949 by Cliff Adams and enjoyed the honour to be the first ever Uk act to top the brand new UK charts in 1953 using their single Broken Wings. Offering Fred Dachtler, the daddy of Clark Dachtler of Johnny Hates Jazz, Bob Dark brown, David Carey and June Marlow, these were regulars on the air show Consider It From Right here and made an appearance as the support group for most of Petula Clark’s first shows. Originally the group included pianist Bernie Fenton and Australian vocalist Marie Benson. Also shifting through the rates of associates at onetime from the Stargazers was Dick Adam who continued to take pleasure from a moderately effective solo singing profession and a far more effective career as an archive firm impresario. By 1956, Cliff Adams experienced turned his focus on another task, the highly effective Cliff Adams Performers who dominate easy hearing radio applications for another 2 decades.
