Made up of Patrick, Roxanne, Graeme, and Andy Friendly (all previous associates of likeminded indie pop teams Bricolage, the Royal We, and Dot to Dot), Glasgow’s Sexy Children developed a luminous twee sound that nodded to seminal indie pop outfits like Talulah Gosh and Dolly Mixture. The band’s debut 7″ one, “Sisters Are Forever,” garnered a substantial amount of interest from indie pop-centric bloggers when it had been released on Slumberland Information in 2008.
