Claude-Michel Schoenberg

Composer, librettist, and record maker Claude-Michel Schönberg is half of popular songwriting group, with lyricist Alain Boublil, that’s in charge of the theatre smash successes Les Misérables and Miss Saigon. The duo 1st teamed up in 1973 to create Boublil’s 1st musical, La Trend Française, where Schönberg performed the component of Ruler Louis XVI. The next year, Schönberg documented an record of original materials entitled Le Top Pas. He teamed up with Boublil once again in 1978 to focus on the rating of Les Misérables, which opened up in Paris 2 yrs later. The initial cast recording gained two precious metal discs by 1981 as well as the Broadway creation that implemented garnered two Tony Awards (1987 Greatest Score, Best Reserve). Schönberg and Boublil implemented up with another wildly effective musical, Miss Saigon, which opened up in London in nov 1989 and internationally quickly thereafter. The duo’s following musical, Martin Guerre, opened up in London in the middle-’90s. Schönberg also created an opera record using the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra and Julia Migenes-Johnson, and participated in every from the castings for Les Misérables.
