Bacarisse studied piano and structure with the university or college arts faculty in Madrid. He was a innovator in the Grupo de los Ocho, created, like Les Six, to protest traditional styles in music. He advertised songs through his placement as movie director of Unión Radio until 1936. His early functions are severe, dissonant and polytonal. Later on, he tended toward a neo-romantic design with Spanish text messages and flavor. He’s appreciated for his outstanding orchestration as well as the dramatic quality of his function.
