Richard Teitelbaum

Composer and electronic musician Richard Teitelbaum was created in NYC in 1939. After graduating from Haverford University, he continued to obtain a Get good at of Music level from Yale in 1964. Teitelbaum examined with composers Luigi Nono and Goffredo Petrassi in Italy on the Fullbright scholarship, and he brought the very first Moog synthesizer to European countries. Teitelbaum performed a huge selection of concerts with it, and co-founded the pioneering live digital group Musica Elettronica Viva with Frederic Rzewski and Alvin Curran in Rome, 1966. An opera of his, Golem, was performed on the Ars Electronica Celebration in Linz, Austria (1991), and Teitelbaum himself provides performed through the entire U.S., Japan and European countries. His music is certainly noticed on Cantaur, Hat Hut, Tzadik, as well as other brands. Besides producing music and dealing with interactive personal computers, Teitelbaum has trained digital music and structure at New York’s Vassar University, and Bard University where he in addition has been Director from the Electronic Music Studio room.
