Recording only one in 1966, the Chicago Range Blues Music group nevertheless acquired some members who all had performed or continued to accomplish interesting things. Vocalist Mike Patto, previously (like keyboardist Tim Hinckley) in the Bo Road Runners, was later on in Timebox, Patto, and Spooky Teeth; bassist Louis Cennamo would later on perform stints in Renaissance, Steamhammer, and Armageddon; and drummer Viv Prince, obviously, have been in the Pretty Items. Their only and uncommon Philips 45 experienced manic English R&B-styled addresses of Small Anthony & the Imperials’ “Shimmy Shimmy Ko Ko Bop” and Rufus Thomas’ “Leap Back again,” and continues to be reissued on niche English Invasion collector compilations.
