Quix*o*tic

Indie rockers Quix*o*tic hail from Washington, D.C., and produced originally in 1997. Made up of associates Christina Billotte (electric guitar, vocals, drums), Mira Billotte (drums, vocals, electric guitar), and Brendan Majewski (bass, vocals, drums), a few of its associates hailed from prior alt-rock clothes, with Christina being truly a person in both Autoclave and Slant 6. In 2001, Majewski bowed from the group, and was changed by Mick Barr (previously of Orthrelm). Quix*o*tic provides toured with (and produced admirers away from) such renowned groupings as Sonic Youngsters, Papa M, Blonde Redhead, Fugazi, as well as the Rapture, since their inception, and also have issued several produces thus far, like the 1998 debut one “Heliotrope,” in addition to the full-lengths Evening for Time and Mortal Reflection. The latter discharge was their initial for the renowned unbiased label Kill Rock and roll Stars, and demonstrated the group’s wide variety of affects by their collection of cover music — Dark Sabbath’s “Lord of the Globe,” Aaron Neville’s “Inform It ENJOY IT Is,” along with a track that straight rates Syd Barrett’s “Appreciate You” (known as “Glaciers Cream Sundae”).
