Pillowfight

Sounding just like a mixture of Morcheeba, Danger Doom, Macy Grey, and Beck, Pillowfight is a task from producer Dan the Automator and singer/songwriter/violinist Emily Wells. Both met while carrying out in the Calgary Folk Event, finding themselves combined collectively during an impromptu workshop and creating a productive improv program that deserved additional exploration. Dan (who was simply a member from the Gorillaz, Deltron 3030, and Dr. Octagon) and Wells (besides her single profession, she had caused Buck 65 and Count number Bass D) became close friends. Wells traveled to Dan’s studio room in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, and the set began focusing on Pillowfight’s debut. Released by Mass Recordings, their self-titled recording got in 2013 with visitor spots from Child Koala and Lateef the Truthspeaker.
