Pete Stanley

Among England’s best-known banjo players, Pete Stanley is well known for his unique mellow shade, acquired through the use of bare fingernails instead of steel fingerpicks. Although he documented two albums — Banjo Jump and Choosing And Performing — in the ’70s with guitarist and vocalist Roger Knowles, Stanley provides made his biggest contribution to music as an experienced banjo builder.
