Pelham Goddard

Pelham “Peegee” Goddard continues to be an instrumental existence on the advancement of Western world Indian music for a lot more than two decades. A normal performer, along with his music group Charlie’s Roots, on the annual carnival in Trinidad, Goddard provides made a long lasting impact being a songwriter, arranger and manufacturer. His tracks, including “The Hammer,” “Commitment,” “Dirt In Yuh Encounter,” “Savannah Party,” “Jungle Fever,” “Kalalloo” and “Calabash,” have grown to be soca and calypso classics. Since concluding a brief period as an apprentice to manufacturer and recording studio room owner Clive Bradley, in 1972, Goddard provides produced and organized strike recordings by such Western world Indian performers as Super Blue, David Rudder, Glucose Aloes, Calypso Rose and Performing Francine. Playing piano from age nine, Goddard discovered to learn music with a correspondence training course through the Berklee University of Music in Boston. Starting his professional profession, in 1967, as organist for the Peter De Vlugt Orchestra, he became a member of the Starlight Metal Orchestra the next season. In 1972, Goddard joined up with the Esquires Orchestra. In 1976, Goddard shaped his very own group, Charlie’s Root base, as a studio room music group for K.H. Studios.
