Given birth to in the Western Indies, Boston-based rapper Jake the Snake (aka J the S) moved from your isle of Nevis to the brand new England area in a young age group. His rhyme technique a mix between a dancehall DJ and a brutal NY MC, Jake started rapping around age group 16 and honed his abilities through freestyle fights in Boston’s underground hip-hop picture. His first recording, The Arrival, produced little sound upon its 2004 launch, but Jake came back in 2006 using the well-received Technique from the Crown LP, boasting features from Ras Kass and Devin the Dude. The recording singles comprising those two visitor places, “Kilograms (I UNDERSTAND)” and “Crabs within a Barrel,” both charted on CMJ and various other university radio playlists that season. Several mixtapes made an appearance during the following year or two prior to the Boston MC released his third full-length, THE FINAL Times, in 2008.
