Pacific Drift

This UK band, formed in the late 60s, comprised Barry Reynolds (guitar/vocals), Brian Shapman (keyboards/vocals), Graham Harrop (bass) and Lawrence Arendes aka Larry King (drums). Ruler, previously of Liverpool’s Wimple Winch, founded this brand-new quartet in the ashes of Sponge, a jazz rock and roll device that imploded when saxophonist Jack port Lancaster still left in 1968 to become listed on Blodwyn Pig. The quartet’s debut one, a edition of Heart’s ‘Drinking water Girl’, was accompanied by a self-titled record in 1970. Nevertheless, although they made an appearance live on the essential underground haunts and celebrations, Pacific Drift were not able to sustain a profession and split by the finish of the entire year.
