Hickory Wind

The Indiana band Hickory Blowing wind made just one single self-titled album in 1969, pressed inside a run of 100 copies. The record’s a unusual, amateurish, however intermittently tuneful mixture of young pop, garage rock and roll, psychedelia, and country-rock, sung inside a fashion that means it is uncertain if the record was a low-key joke or a naïvely earnest work to do the very best they could. The music group later transformed its name to B.F. Trike and documented an unreleased recording for RCA in Nashville in the first ’70s, though it had been eventually released on a little collector label in the past due ’80s. This Hickory Blowing wind, incidentally, is not exactly like the folk group called Hickory Blowing wind that documented for Flying Seafood in the past due ’70s.
