Tommy Castanaro

When Maureen Tucker was pregnant in 1970, program guests and additional members from the Velvet Underground covered on her behalf around the group’s fourth album, Loaded. One particular music artists was Tommy Castanaro, just defined as Tommy on the initial back cover. It isn’t definite which songs Castanaro performed on, even though expanded Fully Packed Edition CD edition of Loaded records him as playing on “Great It Down” and “Mind Held Large.” In the liner records, Velvet Underground guitarist Sterling Morrison kept in mind Castanaro as “a good Very long Island-rocker type. He stated if he couldn’t play drums, he wouldn’t need to live. I loved him.” Additional drum parts around the album were dealt with by Velvet Underground bassist Doug Yule, Billy Yule, and producer-engineer Adrian Barber.
