New York Voices


One of the better (in support of) jazz vocal sets of the 1990s, the brand new York Voices work with a repertoire which includes bop tracks through the vocalese tradition, in addition adaptations of more timely materials through the jazz and pop worlds. Innovator Darmon Meader (who also takes on reeds as well as the EWI) got used a vocal group to European countries in 1986 through Ithaca University, utilizing the name of the brand new York Voices. The next yr, the group became standard, comprising a tempo section and five performers: Meader (who also takes on reeds and EWI), Caprice Fox, Kim Nazarian, Sara Krieger (later on been successful by Lauren Kinhan), and Peter Eldridge.
