Michael Weston King

b. 1961, Southport, Merseyside, Britain. King is most beneficial known as an associate from the UK’s leading alt nation music group the nice Sons, which released a string of well-received albums through the middle- to past due 90s, but this relatively overlooks the actual fact that he continues to be making music because the past due 70s. Elevated in Southport, Merseyside, Ruler left college at age 16 and relocated to close by Liverpool where he performed guitar with several under-performing indie rings. He forgotten the scene within the middle-80s to become listed on UK nation rock vocalist Gary Hall, playing as an associate of his support music group the Stormkeepers for four years before they disintegrated in 1991. Undeterred, Ruler performed in regional folk clubs for two years before developing the nice Sons within the middle-90s, completing three good albums prior to the music group was placed on hiatus in 1999 following a group of mishaps that threatened to totally derail their profession. King took the chance to record his single debut, God Shaped Opening, a brooding, folk-tinged recording that included a tribute towards the past due Townes Vehicle Zandt, ‘Place Me Down’. Carrying out a series of single tours around European countries, King reconvened the nice Sons to record, Pleasure. The relative failing of their 4th album resulted in a more long lasting break-up, leaving Ruler free to focus on his solo profession. A low-key live established premiered in 2002, and Ruler teamed up with manufacturer Jackie Leven to record the wonderful A Decent Guy. The 2005 discharge Absent Friends included stirring live shows and several rarities.
