Meanderthals

The aptly named Meanderthals certainly are a collaborative project between two longtime dance music fixtures: the London-based DJ/production duo Idjut Boys (Dan Tyler and Conrad McConnell) and Norwegian electronica veteran Rune Lindbaek. Sketching on their distributed like of eclectic left-field disco, Meanderthals favour live instrumentation over overtly digital noises, and emphasize the mellower, psychedelic, and decidedly dub-influenced strains from the past due-2000s Balearic development. Though the individuals have been friendly for a long time, their cooperation didn’t happen until Tyler and McConnell occurred to miss a airplane flight back again to London carrying out a DJ engagement in Oslo.
