Maroon Commandos

The Maroon Commandos were founded in 1970 by way of a band of active soldiers to execute Swahili pop covers. Many of their people were killed inside a tragic street incident in 1972, however the group rallied and in 1977 liked a massive strike with “Charonyi Ni Wasi.” The group people, who are still within the military, certainly are a versatile and experimental clothing and have combined different Kenyan musical designs including benga and Swahili.
