Markéta Irglová

A vocalist and talented multi-instrumentalist, Tagéta Irglová’s music career began using a possibility meeting along with a backyard party. Delivered in 1988, the Czech musician started playing piano and electric guitar at a age group, and was just 13 when her parents fulfilled Glen Hansard, vocalist and guitarist for the Irish rock-band the Structures. At a celebration hosted by Irglová’s parents, Hansard noticed the young lady sing the Structures song “Celebrity Star”; the very next day, Irglová was carrying out the song using the music group on-stage. After documenting a version from the monitor for inclusion around the Structures’ live recording The Breadcrumb Path, Irglová began composing and documenting her own tunes while also carrying out with Hansard through the entire Czech Republic. Furthermore to carrying out together in america and Ireland, Irglová and Hansard documented an eponymous recording together beneath the name the Swell Time of year, that was released in 2006. The set later garnered world-wide attention if they starred and performed in Once, an award-winning and critically acclaimed film directed by John Carney, a previous Structures bassist. Following the success from the film, Irglová and Hansard continuing to create, perform, and record beneath the Swell Time of year moniker, documenting another recording, 2009’s Strict Pleasure, while also operating collectively but crediting their specific names (because they did for any monitor around the soundtrack towards the film I’m Not really There). Irglová released her single debut, Anar, in 2011, accompanied by Muna in 2014.
