Macula Dog

Macula Puppy are an unabashedly strange, arty group from Queens, NEW YORK who help to make mutated experimental pop which instantly brings to brain the Occupants and Devo. The group make reference to themselves like a “four-person digital duo,” as users Tag Brothers (Tag Matthews) and Bruce Brothers (Ben Mendelewicz) perform with mannequins (Matt Brothers and Ben Brothers) strapped with their backs. Their tunes typically feature warped MIDI instrumentation, scrambled vocals, and obtuse plans, and they audio just like vibrant and messy as their shows and video clips. Both members result from Florida, and experienced released solo tasks on the New York-based tape label Haord Information, but they started performing collectively as Macula Puppy in early 2014. They started playing out at underground locations throughout the town and finally the east coastline, and found an all natural house appearing on general public access tv and adding music to Toon Network’s Adult Swim. A self-titled cassette made an appearance on Haord in 2015, and full-length Why Perform You APPEAR TO BE Your Dog? premiered by Wharf Kitty in 2016.
