Luciana Souza

Luciana Souza’s first single album was A REMEDY for your Silence (NYC Information, 1999). The Poems of Elizabeth Bishop along with other Songs (Sunnyside Information, 2000) was 5th place in THE BRAND NEW York Instances’ 2000 THE ENTIRE YEAR in Pop and Jazz: The Critics’ Choice list. In 1991, she was elected Finding of the entire year by APCA on her behalf use Hermeto Pascoal. Within the next yr, she toured using the Zimbo Trio. In 1995, she was nominated for Exceptional Latin Work and, within the next yr, Exceptional Jazz Vocalist in the Boston Music Honours. From a musical family members (her parents are Walter Santos and Tereza Souza), Souza continues to be associated with music since her years as a child, when she caused jingles. After four years at Unicamp College or university in Brazil, she visited the Berklee University of Music, where she received a bachelor’s level in jazz structure. She received a master’s level from the brand new Britain Conservatory of Music. In ’09 2009, Souza released Tide her initial record for Verve and her second cooperation with hubby and manufacturer Larry Klein. The Reserve of Chet made an appearance in 2012.
