Los Toros Band

Led by Dominican vocalist Héctor Acosta, who embarked on a single job in 2006, Los Toros Strap were one of the biggest merengue sets of the ’90s and early 2000s. Located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, the group was founded by makers Gerardo Díaz, aka “Un Toro,” and Juan Pablo Díaz. In 1989, they found out Acosta, aka “Un Torito,” who was simply a vocalist within the group Los Gentiles from the town Bonao, and recruited him to serve as their business lead vocalist in Los Toros Music group. The group produced its full-length recording debut with Se Soltaron los Toros (1991). The recording was popular within the merengue picture and resulted in several even more albums, including De Fiesta (1991), A Bailar (1992), Caliente (1994), and Formidables (1994). Furthermore to Acosta and arranger Henry Hierro, these early albums presented vocalists Indira Rubiera and Mayra Bello. From the middle-’90s, Los Toros Music group had become among the best merengue groups within the picture, and appropriate albums like Románticamente (1995), Un Mambo del Toro (1996), and Raices (1997) had been complemented by compilations like Estelares de los Toros Music group (1997). Los Toros Music group underwent a substantial transformation by the end from the ’90s by adding vocalists Olvis García and Luis José Alcequiez over the albums Pasito Lento (1998), ¡Y No Hay Problema! (1999), and Toromanía (2000). A 4th vocalist, Robin Joel Vasquez, became a member of the group for Pa’ la Calle (2001), Indetenibles (2003), and En Vivo 2004 (2004). With the middle-2000s, nevertheless, Acosta had grown up disgruntled along with his circumstance in Los Toros Music group and left for the solo profession. He produced his full-length single debut using the strike record Sigo Siendo Yo (2006). The follow-up record, Mitad/Mitad (2008), was a lot more effective, spawning the smash strike one “Sin Perdón.”
