Lifter Puller

Minneapolis art-punks Lifter Puller initial took shape around the campus of Boston University when vocalist/guitarist Craig Finn began teaching roommate Steve Barone to try out acoustic guitar. After graduating the duo relocated towards the Twin Towns, recruiting bassist Tommy Roach and drummer Dan Monick to create Lifter Puller in 1994; the group’s debut LP, Fifty percent Deceased and Dynamite, adopted around the No Alternative label four years later on. After Roach discovered the stresses of juggling music and grad college too extreme, he opted out of Lifter Puller, and on Halloween 1998 brand-new bassist Tad Kubler produced his live debut; an EP, The Entertainment and Arts, implemented for the group’s have Threatening Words label several months afterwards. Their second LP, Fiestas and Fiascos, made an appearance in early 2000; Lifter Puller dissolved that same summertime.
