Bass participant Josh “Carry” Browning and guitarist Josh “Buck” Pearson comprised the original lineup of Lift to see, plus a third friend who contributed his knowledge in the drums. They fulfilled in Denton, TX, not really far from the town of Dallas, while Browning was a scholar at an area school. Per year after developing, the group released a self-titled EP of four music. Shortly after, their drummer bailed out to become listed on Mandarin, another Texas-based group, being a guitarist. To consider his place, Browning and Pearson recruited Andy “The Boy” Little. The actual fact that their brand-new recruit had not been old enough to get admittance towards the bars as well as other nightspots where his bandmates enjoyed to hold out earned the brand new drummer his nickname. Little, the lone non-Texan within the trio, comes from New Orleans, the kid of the preacher along with a piano participant. Needing a big change, he still left his jazz research to main in British in Denton, where he fulfilled Browning and Pearson about a month after his entrance. Like Little, Pearson may be the kid of the preacher. When he strike his teenagers, he used the guitar. The very first tune he learned to try out was “Weekend Bloody Weekend” by U2. His parents divorced when his dad’s spiritual leanings took a fresh and unwelcome convert, as well as the elder Pearson began to believe that trust alone would offer plenty of support for him and his wife and their two kids, and he halted working. Pearson’s mother went on to aid her kids as an individual parent, frequently operating several jobs to create up for having less kid support. The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads, the trio’s 1st album, premiered in 2001 within the English Bella Union label.
