The Benjamins

The Benjamins were started by bass player Ben Perlstein when he saw a music group (a trio of singer Jay Stys, guitarist Dan Hinz, and a drummer) playing at a club in Milwaukee. Immediately after, Perlstein became the 4th person in the group, getting with him brand-new drummer Jon Phillip. The Benjamins documented their first record, Bordering on Boredom, on Labor Time 1999. The EP highlighted six music that earned advantageous interest for the music group after the record premiered in Feb 2000. After garnering a good fan base through the entire Midwest, the Benjamins had been interviewed with a fan for any fanzine in Green Bay, WI. The lover ended up being a street group representative for Drive-Thru Information, and after a short courtship, the label decided to indication the music group. Their sophomore Compact disc and 1st full-length recording, The Artwork of Disappointment, premiered within the California-based Drive-Thru Information in Feb 2001.
