North California-based Lakes is usually lead by vocalist/guitarist Seth Alan Roberts, formerly of Christian indie rock-band Watashi Wa, who released an archive on Teeth & Toenail before splitting up in summer time 2004. Roberts experienced formed a fresh music group called Keen Seas and released an archive through Teeth & Nail, nonetheless it was released beneath the Watashi Wa moniker in early 2006. After parting methods with Teeth & Nail, the brand new lineup of Roberts, guitarist Jason Massey, and bassist Roger Tompkins agreed upon to The Militia Group and transformed the band’s name to Lakes. Their debut EP, Photos, was released in Sept 2006, though with Erik Brunner on bass and Jonathan Russo manning drums; the record featured visitor vocals by Mike Herrera of MxPx and Aaron Marsh of Copeland. It might be another four years prior to the music group released their debut record The Agreement this year 2010. Working separately independently Armacost Information, Lakes continued to consider their time, properly writing and documenting thier follow-up Fire Forward which seems in the summertime of 2014.
