Kris Berry

Caribbean-based singer/songwriter Kris Berry is definitely a rootsy artist whose music includes such different styles as Fresh Orleans jazz, nation, and R&B, aswell as sounds from her indigenous Caribbean. Created in Curaçao in 1982, Berry was raised hearing a wide-array of music from Latin to ska and Cuban music. Although she constantly loved performing, it wasn’t until 2008 when she started performing having a jazz ensemble that she shaped the concept on her behalf personal music. Since 2010, Berry spent some time working with guitarist and maker Paul Willemsen, crafting her exclusive cross-genre sound. In 2011, she released a five-song EP. In 2012, she released her debut full-length recording, Marbles.
