Biography

Basque choice threesome Kortatu was shaped in 1983 by brothers Fermín and Weñigo Muguruza, who have been joined up with by drummer Treku Armendariz. Known because of its charismatic shows and radical lyrics, Kortatu’s self-titled debut record premiered in 1985, accompanied by 1986’s Un Estado De Todas las Cosas, and 1988’s Kolpez Kolpe. Immediately after, while the music group was playing at Pamplone, Iruña, a live record known as Azken Guda Dantza was documented. Kortatu disbanded in 1989.
