Kirk Brandenberger

b. 16 August 1955, Keokuk, Iowa, USA. A favorite nation fiddler, Brandenberger offers used guitarist Karl Shiflett And His Big Nation Show, which include Lyle Meador (mandolin), Jake Jenkins (banjo), Kris Shiflett (bass). He’s also owner of Primary Slashes radio network and it has been deeply mixed up in advertising of bluegrass music on record and radio for quite some time. Among performers he has documented will be the All Lady Males, the Coffey Brothers, Randall Hylton, Chris Jones, Jim Simpson, Larry Stephenson, Julie Wingfield as well as the Smokey River Males. For his function in compiling albums of bluegrass music, in 2006 Brandenberger was inducted into America’s Aged Time Nation Music Hall of Popularity. Music in his repertoire consist of ‘St. Anne’s Reel’.
