Combining English pop and American origins rock and roll, Julian Dawson 1st obtained prominence in Europe with an individual on Rough Operate Reports in the mid-’80s. Then released two albums on Polydor Information. He also documented two albums with Ian Matthews’ music group, Plainsong. His initial domestic release, Go on the Radio, made an appearance in 1990 on Watermelon Information. Dawson then documented Fragile as China the next calendar year for BMG/Ariola. The initial single, “HOW DO I Rest Without You,” reached the graphs. 1994 brought a greatest-hits record, How Individual Hearts Behave, including a re-recording of “HOW DO I Rest Without You” with Lucinda Williams. Another calendar year, Travel On was released, once again on Watermelon Information. It highlighted collaborations with Nicky Hopkins, Jules Shear, and Willie Nile; the Roches and Curtis Stigers added vocals. Move Over Darling implemented in 1997, and 2 yrs later Dawson came back with both Spark and Beneath the Sun.
