Indie rocker and image developer Jon Bolden began writing and taking part in tunes while likely to college at Marietta University in Marietta, OH, a little town situated within the shores from the Ohio River. There wasn’t a lot of a music picture in Marietta, but this do small to discourage Bolden. He began playing and documenting tunes immediately after he relocated there, getting a cultish online group of fans with his funny indie pop music and earning an area following along with his eccentric concert events. He released a few albums in 2003, Goodbye Emo Child and Mixing It Up, Vol. 1. He continuing to write music and released an EP with Pat Hanlin in the next year known as Jon Holden/Pat Hanlin Divided EP. The EP was accompanied by a full-length record in 2005, entitled I WANT Cash Before I Graduate. Bolden was pretty much known on the web and had a solid enough group of fans to maintain him touring; however, the music sector just didn’t get sucked in. So so that they can length himself from his prior, more funny work, Bolden documented and self-released another full-length record known as Choose Your Very own Experience in 2006, which highlighted new music furthermore to “THE INDIVIDUALS I UNDERSTAND” and “Aiming to Define It,” both which made an appearance on previous produces. He transferred to Austin, TX, that same calendar year and continuing to focus on his music, time for Marietta sometimes to perform on the American Legion Hall on 8th and Wooster Road.
